Tuesday 4th October 2005: Workplace Bullying: Tackling the Menace: Costs, Consequences and Solutions for Businesses, Individuals and Organisations, The Burlington Hotel, Dublin 4. Workplace bullying (including management intimidation and corporate terrorism) costs Irish business billions of euro each year. Conference topics include defining the problem, the psychology of bullying, medical consequences, a case study, legislation and best practice for employers. The Anti-Bullying Centre Resource and Research Unit at The University of Dublin, Trinity College aims to create a greater awareness and understanding of bullying behaviour and provide advice, guidance and counselling and resource material for parents, schools and organisations seeking to counter bullying. It also aims to conduct research into bullying behaviour. The centre, under co-ordinator Dr Mona O'Moore, provides Inservice and staff development days for schools and organisations and day conferences and workshops for pupils, parents, teachers and adults in the workplace. There is also a reference library.

Teachers Against Bullying is a support group, based in Dublin, Ireland, set up to help teachers who have been, or are being bullied by principals and/or colleagues and/or inspectors and/or boards of management. The group so far consists mainly of Primary teachers and a few Secondary teachers. It held its first meeting on Saturday, 13th March 1999. The main aim of the group is to bring together targets of workplace bullying and remove the isolation felt by people in this situation. The group has already prepared a submission for the government Task Force on Bullying. October 2002: Irish National Teachers' Organisation (INTO) organises seminar on workplace bullying.
