Having suffered at the hands of a company full of bullies for five years I bought a copy of your book Bully in Sight. I just hope other people out there manage to gain a copy of your book before it's too late. Thanks, it quite possibly has saved my life ... I've been through every phase you listed in your book, and only because of the information you provided I was able to turn the corner and put myself back on the road to recovery. Not only that, it has forewarned me as to what to expect next when a company acts in a criminal and corrupt manner, but has allowed me to gain enough energy to take this company to task over what it has done to me and my family.

I cannot put into words how much your book has helped me and how grateful I am that you wrote it.

Thank you most sincerely for enabling me to understand and tackle the huge problem that has been blighting my life. I cannot express enough to you how much your website and book has transformed my life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. (Jennie Butcher)

Your book [Bully in sight] and that of David Kinchin [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder] have contributed more to my recovery than any of the so-called professional support I have received from doctors and counsellors.

I would just like to say again how absolutely wonderful your book is and thank you again for writing it. It is a tremendous contribution to society.

I think your book is simply excellent. You are so inspirational. (Terry Davis, Diversity Director, Texas Instruments, Dallas, Texas, USA)

Your book has given me the knowledge and understanding to realise what has happened to me ... I cannot express the thanks for your dedication to pass your knowledge, experience and research on.

Your book has totally validated my bullying experience and with the turning of each page I became more enlightened.

It's so accurate to my experience I could have written it myself!

[Bully in sight] is OUTSTANDING! This is a must read for anyone who will ever work for another person, or for that fact come in contact with others. My jaw dropped as I read page after page. Your book is so validating, so affirming, insightful and positive I will say it is the best book I have ever read on surviving in the workplace or in any relationship where abuse exists. (DL, USA)

Every page I open at random is a feast! (DE)

Bully in sight is a Godsend. I think you're the only person in the world who really understands what happens when you're bullied at work. As a result of your book personnel are starting to take me seriously for the first time, management are backtracking (they were threatening to dismiss me) and the bully (a power freak who's destroyed several predecessors) is looking stressed for the first time in her life. I can't thank you enough. (UK employee)

I wish I'd had your book [Bully in sight] two years ago. (Hundreds of people)

I would like to express my appreciation to you for writing [Bully in sight]. Where do I start?. The book works on so many levels, the madness of the adversarial modern workplace which tacitly accepts bullying. The spurious reliance on accreditation, "quality" marks etc to cover up malpractice, it exposes the lot for the sham it is. In reading [Bully in sight] I have discovered a lot about myself particularly in relation to assertiveness and my attitude to guilt. Of course the sections on exposing the bully and laying them bare speak for themselves, I could go on and on. I would urge anyone, bullied or not to read it, I wish I'd had a copy years ago when I was a shop steward. The time and effort and research you put in must have been immense. Many books I have read purport to change ones life, this one does. (JE, Cheshire, England)

Stupendous! Bully in Sight is a master's guide in overcoming and tackling this horrendous plague. (Marium Camilla Forbes)

Thank for your prompt and polite service, as a member of your forum, and armed with a copy of your book, my own copy has become personalised and dog eared and has above all been a source of comfort because of its empowering and validating contents, and remains on hand. (Julie Bates, Australia)

Bully in sight highlights the typical and transparent types of behaviour a bully inflicts on its victim. However the victim is not empowered with the knowledge to recognise this at the time. Yet Bully in sight articulates the victims gut feeling that something is not right ... I wish I'd read Bully in sight when I experienced bullying by a group of women over an 18 month period many years ago - things would definitely have turned out different ... Anyone who is being bullied or knows someone who is going through this - must be given this book. Reading your book is like being inoculated against a deadly disease. Bully in sight will teach them to articulate that 'gut feeling', snap out of their denial and give them the skills to fight back. (JG)

An enormous source of support and enlightenment.

After reading your website (it is brilliant), I had to have your book. I anxiously awaited its arrival. When I started reading it I started crying and could not stop. It was as if you wrote this book about my experiences. Instantly I felt "I'm not going crazy, there is nothing wrong with me". The relief was enormous. Your book validated and normalised my experiences. It has become my "companion" ever since. I really treasure it as it gave me hope and helped me to start living again. I have been using your strategies and, they work!. Thank you Tim, for being the light in the darkness. (Danka, Survivor from Australia)

Thank you for writing Bully in sight ... it's like a torch in the darkness. (ex public sector employee)

I wish I'd had your book two years ago, it would have saved me a lot of pain. Your insight into the mind of the serial bully is incredible. Why are HR and employers so easily deceived by this character?

Thank you for sending me a copy of your book. Like a child on Christmas morning I ripped open the packet and briefly read some of it over breakfast, before going to what I call "The Happy House" where no one is happy. I spent most of the weekend reading it, and recognised my workplace, it jumped off the page at me. Not only myself but other people are being bullied. I suffered so much that I developed a skin condition and was hospitalised for five weeks. Keep up the good work, there are so many bullied people out there who don't know of your book or have access to a computer.

Extraordinary... rarely in my life have I read a book with such impact. (ex-nurse)

I have just finished reading your fabulous book for the second time. It was magnificent. I can't thank you enough for enlightening me on the subject and giving me back my power. (Kelly Ellis, Australia)

Breathtakingly accurate.

Your book Bully in Sight [is] the most effective tactical weapon to deploy in the fight against bullying in the psychological battlefield, the workplace. Deploy it strategically to family, peers, your trade union, your GP, your personnel officer. Tim guides you through your options, consider them - then act. (DW, Northern Ireland)

The book is fantastic. I am far from alone. I no longer feel weak....... I have absolutely clear direction now. I have done the fear, I have done the flight and now I am definitely going to fight and make this person accountable. I refuse to become another one of his statistics. I will not be another suicide as one of my predecessors, nor will I be stripped of my confidence any further. The fight will begin.

I have been through a horrendous 6 years, and for the last 2 years your web site and book have been my lifeline. Your insight into the bully's behaviour is incredible. You deserve all the praise you get and more! I am still battling but I know now that I am right and the bullies are wrong. (JP, Wales)

If only I'd had your book two years ago... (many people)

Just to let you know that your book has arrived - and its wonderful!! So far it has been blow-dried - after an accidental splashing while reading it in the bath, had its cover bent back into shape after being slept on with it clutched in my hand, had the pages flattened out after jealous attack by dog wanting his over-due walk, and used to gain promises of unending supplies of chocolate from other people who I have told can read it - "when I have finished reading it":-) Obviously a powerful and resilient book :-) (JD, New Zealand)

My emotions in reading the book were shattering and wonderful: I have moved very quickly from relief through joy to resolution and determination to help others. I'd like to thank you for the sanity-saving book and the fascinating (and ultimately helpful) trail of knowledge it is leading me into. (Deputy headteacher, comprehensive school, UK)

Reading Bully in Sight is like winning the lottery... the sense of relief is indescribable.

Extremely well written and organised.

Terrific... and very easy to read. (ex-personnel officer)

Bully in sight has changed my life... after years of being bullied I can now turn the tables, stand up for myself and fight back.

Engrossing, enlightening, and above all, empowering.

It's incredible how accurately [the author] describes the experience... it's as if he was there observing my case. (several people)

Bully in sight could have been based on my experience - it's so uncannily accurate. (several people)

I started using a highlighter pen to remind me of the key passages and now the entire book is a mass of dayglow yellow. (teacher)

I can't thank you enough for writing Bully in sight. (several people)

"This is the book I so badly wanted when I was traumatised."
David Kinchin, Author

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: the invisible injury provides clear, practical advice for recovery from major traumatic experiences, including violence, harassment, assault, rape, accident, fire, explosion, disaster, or witnessing such events.

PTSD is a natural emotional reaction to a deeply shocking and disturbing experience. The symptoms are surprisingly common and include sleep problems, nightmares and waking early, impaired memory, inability to concentrate, hypervigilance (feels like but is not paranoia), jumpiness and exaggerated startle response, fragility and hypersensitivity, irritability, violent outbursts, joint and muscle pains, panic attacks, fatigue, low self-esteem, exaggerated feelings of guilt, feelings of nervousness and anxiety.
